Digital Charity Art — Who We Are
We are Digital Charity Art, a small team of three New Zealanders focusing on thematic digital art projects that align with charitable sectors. The goal of Digital Charity Art is to be able to harness the enthusiasm and vast potential of Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) and help channel it towards the organisations that need help the most.
We are a company dedicated to ensuring that the cryptocurrency space can be an environment for not only personal growth, but also community and societal growth. By donating the majority of profits (up to 90%) to charity, we hope to make a real impact in enabling charities to connect to new and innovative sources of funding that may otherwise be difficult to access. Our team is made up of family and friends who share a passion for both the promise of blockchain technology, and the opportunity to make a positive difference to our world.
Our first project is Digital Oceans. Through the creation of 10,000 unique marine based NFTs, we are seeking to raise awareness for some of the real issues facing our oceans. Our aim is to work with charities in NZ and internationally, to build an understanding of the incredible work that they do every day. We will have a sale period of two-weeks, from whatever is sold within this period we will then donate a vast proportion of those sales to each of the charities that we work with. This donation will be transparent, and in accordance with an agreement made between us and the charities we partner with.
Digital Oceans has crafted an NFT design that highlights some of the real problems facing our oceans and marine life today, while also bringing lightness and whimsy to some of the designs. All of our layers feature a sea turtle, Ambassador Shell. The common layers with Ambassador Shell have pollution, sewage, oil mining, bleached coral, and a lack of other marine life, among other attributes. These have been designed into the common layers to showcase how tragically ordinary this damage is and how frequently it occurs. The rare layers with Ambassador Shell see the environment slightly improved, coral and marine life are returning, and less negative pollution. And finally, our legendary designs with Ambassador Shell depict an aquatic environment free from pollution, with thriving marine life and many exciting accessories for Ambassador Shell to use (think of a turtle with a top-hat and monocle on!).
We hope that Digital Oceans is just one of many projects we can create to help charities around the world. Future projects would look at creating further bespoke NFTs and working with charities within areas such as rainforest conservation, wildlife preservation, or humanitarian aid or women’s rights.
We intend for our NFT projects to have a unique synergy between them, and perks for the owner that differentiate what we are doing in the NFT marketplace. For instance, holding our NFT will provide owners perpetual discounts for future projects, access to amazing merchandise, and also entry into exclusive activities! We can’t reveal more yet, but this will offer the chance to be physically or mentally challenged in a way that supports our charities and provides an opportunity to earn large cash prizes!
At Digital Charity Art, we want to connect charities to new possibilities for funding and drive awareness to their causes. We think there is an incredible collaboration opportunity that can be created between charities and NFTs and we are committed to doing everything we can to explore this potential.
